J&B Red Program (E-book Production)“Becoming a Self-Published E-Book Author With J&B” Highlights: The J&B team worked with the client to write and publish a 50-page, 5-chapter E-book on teen financial literacy, complete with illustrations J&B consulted with the client to finalize an explanatory and humorous tone suitable for their E-book In the later stages of the project, J&B helped the client prepare a preface/motivation letter and book summary for their E-book publication page The Case:The J&B consulting team helped the client to write, edit, and self-publish a 50-page book on financial literacy, complete with illustrations. As the client had previously conducted a research project on teen financial illiteracy, the J&B team helped the client expand their work into a how-to manual to address an educational inequity. The Background:As the client is a self-motivated entrepreneur interested in decreasing social inequalities, J&B helped the client meet their personal and academic goals in one project. In addition to building teen financial knowledge, the client was interested in creating an E-book to build their writing portfolio and expand their skills. By working with J&B’s consultants, the client was able to successfully meet their multiple aims. The Process:At the start of the project, J&B met with the client to go over the book’s outline and finalize a tone that was suitable for the project. J&B then worked with the client to produce two chapters at a time, until the book’s five chapters were completed. The consulting team also guided the client with their illustrations, recommending visuals that would be beneficial to specific sections of each chapter. During the project’s later stages, J&B helped the client prepare a preface/motivation letter for the E-book, explaining to their readers why the client embarked on this project, what their goals were, and how they hope their book will improve their readers’ lives. At the end of the project, J&B assisted the client in creating a book summary for their E-book page, to draw readers in, offer key details, and capture a takeaway message.
