J&B Blue Program (John Locke)“Learning How to Logically Organize Ideas for John Locke” Highlights: J&B consulted with the client on a 1,*00-word essay for the John Locke Essay Competition addressing the Psychology prompt: “Can happiness be measured?” J&B split the project into: a brainstorming session, topic selection, lecture, reading period, seminar, outlining stage, draft writing process, and series of edits and revisions. As the client expressed that they needed assistance logically organizing the content of their essay, J&B worked closely with the client on structure, formatting, and thesis construction. The Topic:J&B consulted with the client on a 1,*00-word essay for the John Locke Essay Competition addressing the Psychology prompt: “Can happiness be measured?” The Process:At the start of the project, J&B met with the client to conduct a brainstorming session and discuss several prompts the client was interested in. To help the client select a prompt, the team shared relevant reading materials related to the client’s prompts and brainstorming discussion. After the client selected the prompt that interested them most, J&B shared a 40-minute lecture and 10 scholarly sources for the client to expand their background knowledge. Next, the team met with the client for a seminar session to discuss 3 of the readings in greater detail. J&B then prepared a detailed outline for the client to help them write the first draft of their essay. The client utilized J&B’s outline as a basic starting point yet incorporated their own ideas and insights into their essay. To help the client create a stronger, tighter essay, J&B shared a series of edits including detailed comments and suggestions for the client to help them write their second draft. After the client shared the second draft of their essay, the team heavily edited and revised it to ensure that it met their high-quality standards. Writing Style:The client is a deep thinker with a passion for philosophical writing. To help the client merge their innovative ideas with psychology, the team worked closely with the client on incorporating relevant psychological studies and findings into their claims. The team also helped the client structure in-depth analyses to retain the persuasive component of their essay.
