J&B Blue Program (John Locke Finalist)“An Opinionated Essay for John Locke’s Junior Category” Highlights: J&B worked with the client on a 1,*00-word essay for the John Locke Essay Competition’s Junior category, addressing the prompt: “What should the age of consent be for irreversible sex reassignment surgery?” J&B split the project into three main steps, accommodating the client’s schedule to: help the client form a strong stance on their topic, prepare a detailed outline, and revise the client’s draft. After completing the project, the client had a stronger grasp of the importance of structure and evidence while writing. At the start of the project, the team met with the client to discuss the Junior category prompts that stood out the most to the client. As the client expressed a strong interest in one prompt in particular, the team shared over ten reading materials to help the client gain background knowledge and develop a stronger stance on their topic. Next, the team prepared an outline for the client accompanied by relevant scholarly sources, which the client used to prepare their first draft. The team then revised the client’s draft and polished it to meet their high-quality standards. Writing Style:The client is an opinionated writer looking for guidance to improve their essay writing. Throughout the project, the team helped the client support their ideas with scholarly evidence while also clarifying their key ideas and thesis. J&B also assisted the client with presenting their arguments on current legislation surrounding their topic.
