Highlights: J&B worked with the client on a 1,200-word article for the Harvard International Review (HIR) addressing Theme B: "Global Challenges and Collective Actions." J&B broke the project down into: brainstorming, topic selection, a lecture, seminar, outlining phase, draft writing, and editing/polishing. To take the client’s writing to the next level, the J&B team worked with the client on logically organizing their paragraphs, transitioning from one idea to the next, and elaborating on key ideas. The Topic: J&B worked with the client on a 1,200-word article for the Harvard International Review (HIR) addressing Theme B: "Global Challenges and Collective Actions." The Process: To begin the project, J&B met with the client to brainstorm ideas for the HIR’s themes. After getting a better understanding of the client’s chosen theme and categories, the team shared three topic suggestions with the client to help them narrow down their ideas and interests. After the client selected the topic that appealed to them the most, J&B produced a 40-minute lecture complete with 10 reading materials to help the client better understand their topic. After the lecture and reading phase, the team conducted a seminar to discuss each reading in more detail. Next, J&B shared a detailed, 4-page outline to help the client write their first draft. Once the client prepared their rough draft, the team conducted two series of edits: one, to revise and edit the client’s paper, and two, to provide overall polishing so that the article would be ready for submission. By the end of the project, J&B and the client were highly satisfied with their final draft. Writing Style: The client is a concept-driven writer who can both paraphrase and create strong analyses.
